Statement from the artists:

This is a huge rework/repair of an antique horizontally striped wool blanket my partner and I used to sleep with. Our late dog was prone to nesting behavior, and over the years, tore it to bits. I cut out the damage and pieced it back together in this new arrangement. The cream border is also antique wool which happened to match perfectly. The piece is quilted entirely by hand.
